Can anyone give me a hint what's the problem and how to fix it Thank you very much Sat Mar 11 2017: I: INADYN: IP address for alias 'net' needs update to '##.###.###.###' Sat Mar 11 2017: I: INADYN: Alias 'net' to IP '##.###.###.###' updated successfully.

what happens is I end up with a new IP (sometimes, not always) and consequently Ina Dyn never sees the change unless I reboot astlinux, so this disrupts any inbound traffic to my FQDN from the outside...

is there a way to make Ina Dyn run anytime the Astlinux Machine has changed IP's?

inadyn, the tool used for updating dynamic dns in dd-wrt uses that site by default to get your WAN IP to update your service with.

The site can be overridden, and there are tons of other services that will provide your IP in plain text, but inadyn expects the exact same format for the response as checkip.provides: "Current IP Address: xxx.xxx" Most services simpy return the ip address and nothing else, so I don't know of any other services that will work with inadyn. Is there any way to read file and assign to variable without using wget?
